How to Restore ICAI membership?

If your ICAI membership is disabled, kindly follow the following steps to restore the membership:

Step – 1 Login to Self Service Portal (SSP) of ICAI

User Id – membershipnumber@icai.org and Password

In case if you forgot password, click link forgot password to reset the same with either email or mobile OTP

Step – 2 Membership Restoration Form – 9

On Home Pager under Member Function – Membership Restoration Form – 9   OR

Member Module – Other Forms – Membership Restoration Form.

Once you click, it may take time fetching details.

Step – 3   Fill the Details of Form – 9

  1. Prefilled Form 9 will be displayed
    1. 1st tab is of Personal Details– Click Proceed
    2. 2nd tab is of Qualification details will be displayed – Click Proceed
    3. 3rd tab is of Removal details will be displayed – Click Proceed
    4. 4th tab is of Additional Details like Partner, Paid Assistant, Salaried Employment & Engagement Details will appear – Click Proceed
  2. Upload Photo
    1. Photograph” has to be in Passport Size, And In Colour with a White Back Ground.
    2. Casual / Full Length Photos are prohibited
  3. Upload Signature
    1. The “Sign” should also be a scan of Signature, And Done In Black Ink on White Paper.
  4. Select Journal Type (E-Journal/Physical), fee details will appear
  5. Check Declaration tick box
  6. Generate OTP
  7. Select SUBMIT

Make Payment – Fees/Charges

Thereafter the form will be moved for processing by RO.

Other related Important things:

1.  Death Intimation Form

In case a member has died and the record of ICAI is not updated, any ICAI Member can update or intimate the same to ICAI. It is simple process to inform – Login to SSP Portal – Members Function – Death Intimation Form Inform Death of a Member – Write membership number, date of birth and attach document of death.

2. Complete Know Your Member (KYM) – Mandatory 

Provide/Upload Photo, Residential Address proof, Professional Address proof, Identitiy Proof.
